Frequently Asked Questions

When using the card online, always be sure the purchase amount is less than the available balance on the card — if the card is processed for more than the available balance it will decline Check the card balance by accessing the original web link you used to initially access the virtual card in your browser You can access the Help Center for frequently asked questions regarding your virtual card as well as contact info for specific questions
Please return to the email or SMS message that you received to access the link to the Virtual Prepaid Card. Once you click on the link you will be returned to the card details page. You can use the details on that page to make a purchase online or you can add the card details to your mobile phone wallet (Apple Pay or Google Pay) to be used in stores where Tap to Pay is accepted.

IN-STORE: If your purchase amount is more than your available balance, split the purchase into two transactions, if possible. Tell the cashier in advance the exact amount to deduct from the virtual card, then pay the remaining balance with a second form of payment. Please note, not all merchants are equipped to handle “split-tender” transactions.

ONLINE: Split-tender transactions are rare for online purchases. Contact the specific merchant directly for instructions on how to make a split tender purchase online.

Open the Apple Wallet app, tap + and select Debit or Credit Card
Tap Enter Card Manually
Paste the # into the Card Number field
Enter Expiration Date and Security Code
Tap Next

Adding from a desktop computer:
Open the wallet app on your phone and add a new card. Enter the card information manually.
Tap the card # to copy
Open Google Wallet app and tap Add to Wallet
Tap Payment Card
Tap New credit or debit card, then enter details manually
Paste the # into the Card Number field
Enter Expiration Date and Security Code
Tap Save

Adding from a desktop computer:
Open the wallet app on your phone and add a new card. Enter the card information manually.
You first need to add the card to a mobile wallet before using it to shop in-store. Once you have the card in your wallet follow these steps: At checkout, open the card in your mobile wallet When applicable, simply tap to apply card funds towards your total Use an additional payment method if a purchase balance remains How do I use my card to shop online? Refer to the card information presented on your phone Be sure the card balance is greater than your cart total Select Credit as payment method Enter card #, expiration date, CVV and home address Is there a PIN attached to the Virtual Prepaid cards? The Virtual Prepaid Card you received does not require a PIN number for a purchase. You can usually bypass the request for a PIN at the register or you can request the Cashier to bypass it. There are some retailers that have not updated their software to accept the card with Tap to Pay without a PIN. Refer to the redemption instructions included on this page for online or in store purchases.
